What a beautiful creation the sunflower is.

Any suggestions?

Fullview please.

Edit: added a bit of unsharp mask.

Daily DeviationDespite the promise of spring, we're getting hit with inclimate depressing weather again and seeing Introduction to Flowers s2.1 by ~thaimonkey just put the smile back on my face and raised my spirits a notch. The colour is sublime and the depth of field simply magnificent. This is how you capture flowers, take notes. (Featured by $Moonbeam13)

nice man, almost looks like its not real
Good composition, great background to compensate the thirds rule, and very detailed and vibrant colors.

a nice bit of composition in this image monkey, nice colors and depth of focus ;) only one thing, the sunflower could be a little sharper. but otherwise, nice job
Thanks a lot! And thanks for the :+fav:!

I agree on the sharpness. There were a couple problems. I was holding the flower still by the stem with my left hand, and i was taking the picture without much support with my left hand. I tried to get the aperature down to the 11-14 range, but i didn't have a tripod so they turned out blurry. there is a part of the flower that is sharp, just the petals aren't quite what they could be.

wow, this came out very well. The focusing is well implemented throughout the entire piece. The colors also work very well. I like the green fuzz quite a bit. nice piece here!

I like how you blurred the background, makes the front flower the main focus, but yet you cut off half of it, so the background is kinda part of the main focus too, very nice job -kia
